Customer service plays an important role in your service industry. The consuming customer appreciates or devalues your service depending on how you treat him/her. Hence, warmly greeting and respecting our customers regardless of their race, gender, and physical disabilities, makes a great difference and we adhere to the same principle.
You begin with warmly greeting your customer, and things will go smoothly.
Show them respect, they naturally try to communicate
Introduce your new system. Tell them that the old or legacy meter system is retired and you have installed the new DTS (Digital Taxi Solution).
Try to explain that the DTS is based on GPS (geo spatial positioning system), and it gets all information from the GPS to determine the fare.
Try to explain that the DTS works like most smart phone applications.
Tell them that it has many good features like:
a) Shared riding with fair price calculation for each rider,
b) It can provide price estimate from anywhere to anywhere,
c) It serves as a platform for the DC Taxi App, and emphasize on advising your customer to download the App on his/her smart phone.
d) Specially, if you render a service for the DC Government employees, tell them that DC taxi participate in the program called “Vehicle On Demand Service”, VOD.
If you make the efforts like the ones mentioned above it wouldn’t be hard to reach the marketing goals soon.
